In general, regular exercise helps normalize the body tone and fluctuations of hormones but gymnastic and excessive weight lifting for hours causes imbalance of androgenic hormones like testosterone. It is said that lifting heavy weights while doing gymnastic increases the level of testosterone.
Besides higher level of testosterone, another cause may be the intake of food supplements rich in certain proteins, fats and carbohydrates. How to treat acne breakouts as a result of weight lifting?
As a first step, avoid the possible causes like stop food supplements containing higher amount of proteins, fats and carbohydrates. Secondly, take multi vitamin tablets or syrup. Now the third possible cause, the increase production of testosterone, you can not control it. Although there are certain synthetic medications used for controlling hormonal fluctuations but they are not the best solution. What should you do next? Use acne cleansers and body wash. Increased level of testosterone stimulates sebaceous glands to produce more sebum (skin oils) that clog skin pores. Blocked hair follicles and continuous production of sebum leads to whiteheads, blackheads and pimples. Using cleansers and exfoliators is the best solution. Do use face wash and body wash regularly because they will remove excessive oil on your skin, unclog blocked hair follicles and promote skin health.
Though food supplements for mass building may cause acne breakouts and other skin disorder, do not stop its use before consulting to your health care professional. Likewise, do consult your doctor before taking multi vitamin tablets.
