Acne is identified as a very common and frequent skin problem; it not only affects teenagers after they reach puberty but adults and older people alike. Another very common method of treatment includes the use of over the counter medications that are easily available at any drug store. The medication mostly prescribed for acne is benzoyl peroxide. The white crystalline substance acts as an antioxidant and kills bacteria. It also clears the skin and unclogs the pores.
